Mawlana Atiq Ullah grew up in Flushing, New York. He began studying the Islamic sciences at the age of 13 and later enrolled in the ʿĀlimiyyah program at Darul Uloom New York, graduating at the age of 19 in 2019 with high honors, finishing second in his class.

He previously served as the principal of the after-school Quran Academy at Hillside Islamic Center. He is currently the assistant principal at Al-Hikmah Institute and a senior teacher and khaṭīb at Masjid Al-Baqi.
