Mufti Faysal Alam is from Queens, New York. After graduating from High School, he completed one year of Electrical Engineering at City College before dedicating himself to the pursuit of Islamic knowledge.

He embarked on his journey of ʿĀlimiyyah Program in 2014 and completed the rigorous program at Madrasah Arabia Islamia in Azadville, South Africa, in 2020. Following this, He enrolled in his post-graduate studies while specializing in Islamic Jurisprudence at Dārul Iftā Azaadville and completed his Iftā program in 2022 under the supervision of Mufti Saeed Motara and Mufti Masood Qasim.

Upon returning to New York, he served as an Instructor in the ʿĀlimiyyah Program at Jamaica Muslim Center, while also holding positions as a Khaṭīb and Youth Coordinator in various Masājid. His studies then led him back to South Africa in 2023, where he pursued Advanced Studies in the science and transmission of Ḥadīth at Madrasah al-Uloom al-Shar’iyyah, Benoni, South Africa under the supervision of Mufti Bhana.

He is currently serving as a lecturer at Al-Hikmah Institute.
